Velon wants a solid coherent calendar which will appeal to fans through new technologies. All the teams stressed on on-bike video shutters which were deployed to capture & create post-race videos in times of Tour France 2014.
“The squads involved in summing up Velon have joined hands with the shared powerful vision of optimizing the sport & develop novel ways for the growth of pro cycling”, noted Sir Brailsford, the team principal of Team Sky.
“If the squads stay united & work together with the other major stakeholders it would help to make the sport better for watching, easier to understand & gain guaranteed commercial backup as well as encourage more & more fans towards our beloved sport.”
2012 Tour France champ Froome added in- “With the formulation of Velon, now it would be easier for the squads to work in collaboration & find out newer innovations that would assist in good growth of the sport.”
