Anyway, it made the news recently when he was recorded trying a bike with a ski attached to the front wheel. The Olympic champion was seen pedaling the bike in thick snow. This was definitely a novelty in the sports world where it was noted for the first time a snow bike that has ski attached to the front wheel and thick wheels that allow you to travel through the snow.
The trial of this novelty bike was not only a leisure trail as the Olympic champion decided to ride across the Antarctic region with the bike. This is an objective that the six time Olympic champion has set for himself. He has trained himself in Iceland accordingly. The clip that was shared on social media channels like Twitter, he was seen riding the fat bike that has oversized tires and a green ski that is attached to the front wheel. The back wheel slides from side to side, but the skis in front keep him steady.

One of the major goals set by the Trek-Segafredo team for the season is to become the number one ranked team in the world.
This it has begun by strengthening both its Classics squad with John Degenkolb. The team also plans to target the Tour de France and other stage races and as such, has signed Alberto Contador.
Luca Guercilena, the team manager is of the belief that Giacomo Nizzolo, an Italian national champion can also improve further. He hopes that Nizzolo can target Milan-San Remo and Gent-Wevelgemin addition to sprints and stages at the Girod’Italia as well.
Segafredo confirmed it has extended its sponsorship until 2020 on Wednesday therefore giving the team registered in the USA, the needed stability to build a long-term future.
Rejuvenating its roster, Trek-Segafredo has added no less than 50% turnover of riders. Alongside Degenkolb and Contadorother new signings by the team includes Koen de Kort, Matthias Brandle, Jarlinson Pantano, the American Greg Daniel, Mads Pedersen and Michael Gogl.

Vincenzo Nibali is set to make his Bahrain-Merida racing debut on January 23-29 at the Vuelta a San Juan, with Tom Boonen and Gaviria also present.
A total of four World Tour teams have been scheduled to participate in the race at Argentina. The competing teams include; Bahrain-Merida, Quick-Step, Trek-Segafredo and Tj Sport. Although the fate of Tj sport remains uncertain as they are yet to secure sponsorship, and still awaiting the UCl license.
The Vuelta a San Juan was inaugurated in1982 with the famous Bernard Hinault participating in the race, before going on to win the Tour de France. The 2017 edition of the race will be the first time an international field has arrived at the race.
Nibali is certainly no stranger to racing in Argentina having used the now defunct Tour de San Luis as part of his New Year racing program in previous seasons.
He has his eyes set on winning the Giro d’Italia for the third time in his career, and plans to use the race at the Vuelta a San Juan to kick start preparations.

TTCF Easter International Grand Prix Cycling event has reportedly received the prestigious UCI status. It’s undoubtedly something really grand for the event as the cycling championship is the 1st in its region to be honored with such an esteemed status.
The new cycling road event would start off on the suspicious occasion of Easter Sunday right from 6 in the morning in the Diego Martin region, near KFC. The announcement was confirmed by Tourism Ministry office which has collaborated with Phillips Promotions & TTCF- to stage this road event featuring a good 49 miles of course for international cyclists & 41mile of fun ride meant for the well-wishers, amateur & recreational cyclists.
As per the reports from TTCF chief Robert Farrier, the cycling event covers participants from almost every age group, ranging from under-7 riders to 70+ cyclists. The championship includes UCI sanctioned cycling events such as match sprint, scratch race & international keirin that would provide points towards world ranking.
‘When it comes to cycling it’s the points which rule & this event assures points for the international races- as one participates in this event, he will earn a point & a ranking”, stated Farrier.

Vincenzo Nibali said that he will not leave Astana after five of its members were found to be guilty of using prohibited substances. He said that his technical staffs are in the team and also he said that the team consists of good people and unity is also there in the team.
Nibali became the winner of this year’s Tour de France in the month of July. After he won the Tour, five doping cases against Astana team members were reported. Maxim Iglinsky and Valentin Iglinsky of the Astana World Tour team were found guilty of doping and also Victor Okishev, Ilya Davidenok and Artur Fedosseyev, all three of them belonging to the third division Astana Continental team, have been found guilty of doping.

Mark Cavendish would be reportedly joining Marcel Kittel at the upcoming Dubai Tour. The championship is about to commence from February 5.
Dubai Tour has earned a 2.1 ranking &carries an esteemed pedigree given its illustrious organizer body RCS Sport- the same organization behind San Remo and Giro Italia.
The first ever Dubai Tour which is going to start next month includes many other stalwart riders- Tony Martin from Mark’s Omega team, Vincenzo Nibali from Astana, Cannondale’s Peter Sagan, Katusha’s Joaquim Rodriguez, BMC’s Thor Hushovd & Taylor Phinney, Rui Costa from Lampre-Merida & Trek Factory’s Fabian Cancellara.
Besides, there would be RTS-Santic’S Alex Coutts and Movistar’s Alex Dowsett to represent Britain.
Cancellara, Dowsett and Phinney would hope for the early-stage wins as the 4 stage championship starts off with 10 kilometers time trial.
The upcoming Dubai Tour is the 1st event in UCI 2014 Asia Tour that would be followed by Qatar Tour from 9th to 14th February & Oman Tour at the end of the month.
Cavendish had earlier declared about his non availability for Down Under Tour. The Omega rider was rather focused on Tour San Luis where he had a fantastic experience last time.
“Last year, I was sent as the substitute for Boonen as he was ill. I relished it a lot & I would love to get back again”, stated Cavendish while speaking about his past San Luis experience.
“I wish for easy start this year. I was not planning to race yet it works as a good motivation. I do enjoy the amazing weather & the little riding with Tom. I would love to do it every time. The Down Under Tour seems too hard for me. It is a famous World Tour championship & is stressful”, the rider added in.
